Dedicated to: Fernando
We all know how difficult it can be to live in this world yet not be of this world. Marriages and families are more commonly seperated into two households instead of the one. For some it is harder to avoid the pitfalls of infidelity than it is for others. I ask for your prayers for the strength of every married couple you may know to overcome these pitfalls and the strength to remain faithful to the one God has united them with.
Our Father in heaven, Creator of Love, Joy and Marriage!
I praise and thank You for the Valdez Family, for their faith in Your power, Your compassion to restore a marriage in trouble.
There was a time, a very happy time, when You united this man and this woman to become one flesh - one life, one love, one happiness; now this union is in danger of becoming torn apart, contradicting Your original will.
Therefore I join my prayer with those in the circle for the restoration of this marriage. Let the life, love and happiness of this couple be renewed and rekindled. Let Your will be done on earth as it is joyfully fulfilled in heaven.
This is a complicated problem because it involves the free wills of two persons; if only one partner has approached You for help. I pray that circumstances in the other partner’s life will be moved in such a way that both partners will submit their wills to Your will. Those circumstances may include the healing of someone’s deep hurt, the addressing of a need that often leads to someone’s temptation and sin, or some little trouble that has been allowed to grow great and critical. May it please You, Lord, to solve any or all of these. There is no problem too big or complicated for You, Almighty Father!
If no partner has approached You for help, then lead those praying for the restoration of the marriage pray first for one or both of the partners to accept the Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord of his or her life! And pray also for the Holy Spirit to dwell in their souls.
Let us also pray for others with similar marriage problems in this website. Let us also read the testimonies in Share Your Stories section of this American Bible Society website; true stories on Divorce & Marital Conflict. Some marriages were restored, some were not; but in all cases the believer keeps faith with the Lord Jesus. God remains the center, hope and happiness of the believer’s life.
Finally, I pray that we open our Bibles and read the chapter 8 in book of Romans. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to teach us to understand its meaning, especially verse 28. Help us understand, believe and firmly rely on this Your promise!
We thank and glorify You because we can come to You for help, for love and for joy. You stay with us and never forsake us.
In the name of our Lord Jesus, AMEN
