For our new precious son born early and fighting

Please pray for our new baby boy, Ethan, who is now 1 week old. He was born 9 weeks early and weighs 4.2 lbs-17 in.s long. For the first week of his life he overcame daily obstacles which amazed us all.The nurses and doctors have commented on his tenacity and strength.He is struggling to maintain his body temperature without assistance.Several times he has been put into an open crib to see if he is ready, but he ends up back in the "isolette".Mommy and daddy are exhausted and worried to death. It's so very hard to see him hooked up to all the wires,IVs, and monitors. Mother's day is 1 week away and I would really like him to be discharged by then.My first mother's day as a mommy would be perfect to have him home with us and that would be the best present ever.Please pray he continues to fight and grow. We love him more than any words could express. Please also pray to give us strength,energy,and faith so that we can be there for him providing that love and support he desperately needs.

Jesus, Name above all names, healer, provider, our Banner, our Hope. We ask that you move in behalf of this family for their son "Ethan". His name in Hebrew means firmness, steadfastness, constancy and I pray that little Ethan will live up to his name. That Ethan would have the firmness needed to endure in this world. The steadfastness to be bold in his testimony of how You healed him and the constancy of walking out Your love to those around him. Raise little Ethan up from the hospital bed so that he is able to celebrate Mother's Day with his mother and be a blessing to all those who will know him. In Christ Name. Amen!

Heavenly Father, I lift up little Ethan to you. Lord, You knew Ethan before the foundation of the earth and I ask you now, dear Lord, that you would surround Ethan with Your Presence. I pray that your purpose for Ethan will stand strong in the midst of the circumstances. That you would have a calling on his life even now to bring glory to Your name. I pray that all his organs would function as you have created them to function. I pray that his body temperature would stabilize and that every cell, muscle, bone, artery, vein, organ would function that the way they were all created to function. I pray that you would give Ethan's parents, YOUR peace during this difficut time. Let them see Your hand, as they trust You. I pray that you would send others to comfort as they walk through this. Courtney, I am a NICU nurse and know exactly what your concearns are right now. I know this can be a overwhelming time for parents. Just keep your faith in the Lord. He will take care of Ethan.

Lord be with Ethan right now. Help his little body grow and become ready for the world. Comfort his parents right now also. Help unite this family all together. Thank you Lord for our little angels you send us. Amen.

Dear God, I join Courtney in praying for Ethan. He has come early into this world and his body must struggle to learn and adapt. I pray that his cells be imbued with Your Holy Spirit, which gently guides their functioning. I pray also that all medical staff become instruments of Your Divine Instruction and healing. He is a fighter Oh Lord, with your love and strength Shower him with all your blessings, and I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ My Lord and Savior, that Ethan will be able to go home with his parents soon.
