Whoever goes to the LORD for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty, can say to him, "You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you I trust." (Psalms 91.1,2 GNT)
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a place of safety in times of trouble. Those who know you, LORD, will trust you; you do not abandon anyone who comes to you. Sing praise to the LORD, who rules in Zion! Tell every nation what he has done! (Psalms 9.9-11 GNT)
ABS Family,
Today is the sixth anniversary of the terrorist attack of September 11th. It is a day of remembrance and prayer. There are many hurting among us because of all sorts of losses. Some so stricken that they can’t even pray for themselves. Let us pray for those spoken and unspoken requests.
The weekly ABS Prayer Fellowship Group meets today, Tuesday, 12:30 PM, in the ABS Prayer Room, #1214, 12th Floor.
If you have any prayer needs that you want us to lift up, please reply to this e-mail or bring them to the meeting today. All are welcome to attend. Thank you.
God bless your day!

Hi Julian,
So, I did a little sluthing and read about some of the troubles facing ABS in World Magazine's web site. As I think I've told you before, but maybe not, we are seeing God, in His love for us, exposing things so as to give us a chance to choose holiness. Never in 20 years of counseling have we seen the kind of intense situations coming to the forefront in the most bizzare ways. Some people are taking advantage of this "space for grace" but others are being given over to a debase mind (Romans 1) because they don't want to move out of their sin. So, as only seems to happen in Christian realms, I rejoice in ABS's discomfort because it is an opportunity to overcome and focus on Jesus Christ and to mold lives in His image. I continue to pray for you all.
As a side note, my husband just got hired as the chaplain for the Tigard Police force. They haven't had one in almost 10 years. (His undergrad was in police science). So, he's working four jobs (the counseling ministry, the church, chaplain and adjunct professor at a local college). We'll continue to pray for you all as things get sorted out, brought out into the light.
Jesus' Joy,
Toni
