LOOSING HOPE

Lord, I know everything happens in your time, and I am ashamed and not worthy to ask you to answer my prayers. I have been moving on in my life, working hard at school to get an education and be able to give my son the life he deserves --- as well as be able to reach my goals. Father, I ask you once again, to please speak to the heart of the man I lost --- the first time I had seen him in 6 months did not go well. He had seen me but intentionally turned away, probably thinking I would approach him. Lord, I pray the next time I run into him, he will approach me and be kind --- It hurts to think that he may still see me in the same light or worse, Father I have been praying for reconciliation and forgiveness... I still love him, more so now than ever, but sometimes I feel that I am stupid and loosing hope. I do not want to spend another day without him, but I go on, because it is only Your love that sustains me. Father I pray he comes back before the end of October --- I know everything happens in Your perfect time, I just ask as your humble daughter that this pain in my heart disappear. I wish with all my might and heart for him to be with me right now. Thank you Father for this place of refuge where I can pray with complete strangers. Amen.

Father God
Lord, it is obvious that this sister is hurting. She knows what she wants and is bringing that petition before you, but Father, I pray that she will step back a moment, quiet her soul and her voice and come before You to ask You what Your will is in this situation; that she stop telling You what she'd like and begin putting her dreams at your feet as a sacrifice; more importantly, that she asks You for Your dreams for her life.

In Ecclesiastes 5:1-6 You instruct us how to come before You when we pray. "Guard your steps as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil. Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few. For the dream comes through much effort and the voice of a fool through many words...Do not let your speech cause you to sin and do not say in the presence of the messenger of God that it was a mistake. Why should God be angry on account of your voice and destroy the work of your hands? For in many dreams and in many words there is emptiness. Rather, fear God."

Lord, she reminds me very much of Martha in Luke 10. Martha had God in her house and she was trying to tell You what to do with her life while Mary chose "the good thing" and was waiting and learning what You would tell her to do.

This is a hard discipline to learn but that is where the Spirit of God is able to move and that is where she will fine Your peace.

Thank you Lord for bringing her here so that we can surround her with prayer. Consume her Lord, with the fullness of Christ and with Your Spirit.

Almighty Jehovah, I know You will continue to help Louise through all this. The scripture "We walk by Faith, not by sight." [2 Corinthians 5:7] comes to my mind. Lord, You ARE answering her prayers! :] Even when we can't see it, You are answering each and everyone's prayers! Thank You God in advance for making Louise and everyone else's dreams come true! Heavenly Father, I pray for this child of yours. I ask that you just comfort her now. Let her know that you deeply love her, and that you are listening to her prayers. Give her strength, joy, and peace in the midst of all this. I ask that you would resolve the problems in this relationship, heal any hurts that may be there. Give this person hope today. Yes, God, thank You for this place of refuge, and to the ABS for creating this site. I pray that Louise be comforted by Your Holy Spirit, in her times of rest, sleep and silence. So that she can be guided to the choices and thoughts that lead her to a feeling of security and worthiness. And bless her for the work she is doing to make a good life for her son.
