It’s Time to Pray
Dutch Sheets, senior pastor of Springs Harvest Fellowship in Colorado Springs, Colorado, believes we are living in a crucial moment in history and that God is calling Americans to concerted prayer for our government. In today’s prophetic word, he shares three major concerns God is asking believers to target in prayer.
“Begin now to pray for the elections of 2008. Just when it seems the stakes can't get higher, they do. Some of the frontrunners running for president would set America back 40 years if they were to win. We are now coming to the end of a 40-year wilderness cycle that began in the 1960s. We cannot afford another. Call forth the purposes of God in 2008.
“Pray for a completion of what God has begun on the Supreme Court. I sense great lethargy and complacency concerning this at the present time. If we don't get a third ‘right’ justice on the bench, we will not cross over into a new season. Winning this war is imperative! Please pick up this assignment again.
“Pray against terrorism and about the situation in the Middle East. It is absolute deception for us to believe radical Islam can be defeated through natural forces only. We must do a better job of picking up this burden. It is one of the callings of our time, and a billion souls are hanging in the balance. I sense another shift is coming soon to this region. Please pray for our president, military, advisers and all who are involved in this. Bind the prince of Persia and Babylon from prevailing.”

Lord, we pray with Dutch Sheets and Springs Harfest Fellowship. Bless them, strenghten them, protect them, and give them the desires of their hearts.
We pray you call many others who will join together and passionately pray
for the Lord's will to prevail:
(1) 2008 elections: The leaders in America - for truth and dedication to serve, in liberty and justice for all!
(2) Supreme Court - Your righteous judgment, and the correct people to serve
with discernment, wisdom, and compassion.
(3) Prayers for the Middle East - protection against terrorism, and against radical religious beliefs. For the Lords' will to be done, throughout all the world, on earth, as it is in heaven.
Lord, let us spend time in prayer, reflection, research, reading , and learning about each candidate who will be running in 2008. We ask for your
direction in all these matters. Give us the leaders you want us to have, for your Glory!
Let us remember Psalm 27:14 - and practice it each time we start to bolt forward or race into the limelight.....
"Wait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.
When we began to doubt or become fearful, let us lift up our hands to you in praise, remembering Psalm 1:11 ....."He will give His angels charge coincerning you, to guard you in all your ways."
Remembering in all nations, many people are lost, uninformed, living in darkness, and do not know about your plan for salvation and eternal life, use us as your disciples, to pass on the Good News ......"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever."
Lord, let us each remember how much you have always loved us. We are so grateful for your grace and personal involvement in our lives daily. Psalm 139:16 - "You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your Book!"
Lord God Almigjty, join us together, all nations, all peoples, all creeds, all colors, and all traditions, knowing in faith, as the creator of the Universe, you are still in total control over all events. We truly believe your words in Col. 3:15 - "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts."
In America, we are blessed to pray openly and close our prayers with a declaration of miracles past, present and to come. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, we pray. Amen

Father,
I begin my prayer with Praise to you. I sing Praises that you are always there for us, you always hear us no matter what language we speak or how we speak, you hear us even if we whisper.
I also thank you Father for the request that we ask for and the answer is no, because we know that if your answer is no, you have a better plan and will open another door for us to walk through in Faith.
Father, this world that we have been put in charge of is not a world that you are proud of, it seems that we have set back and let others take over that do not listen to you or walk with you.
We have let others take over and take your name from our Schools and other public places.
We yell loud after it is over with instead of trying to prevent it.
Forgive us Lord for not taking a stand for you.
Father, we can make a difference now before the emection has begun, we are asking Lord that you take charge of the elections. That you place the person in Office that will listen to you, that will do as you say, that will walk and talk what you have tried to get your people to do for years.
Father, we are in dire need of your help and we lay this at the Altar and we walk away in Faith knowing that you are in charge and will take care of everything that comes before us.
Father, we need a revival but we know that it must start in our own hearts.
Look deep inside us Lord starting with me and if there be anything there preventing a revival, show us where we need to repent.
Father, one other thing and the most important thing to me. is these words which come straight from my heart.
"I love you."
