We ask God to move His Hand

Gracious and merciful Lord, I come before you this morning with a heavy heart. It grieves with those that are suffering in Burma as the result of the cyclone and for those in China with the devastating earthquake that just occurred. The people in Burma are hungry and sick because there are wicked people who are hoarding the food and preventing it from getting through and only giving food that is not fit for eating. God, move Your Hand in this situation. Your Word says that the battle is Yours, I ask Lord that you would remove those who are hindering help to those in need. Fight for those who are brokenhearted for they are weak. Let justice rule over this situation.
I lift up the Chinese people to You, Lord. Look upon them and find favor with them who need You. For the mother's who have lost their children, be with them, Father. Give those that are looking diligently for survivors strength and stamina to continue to search.

Father, I ask that you would incline Your ear to these hurting people. That these people would find mercy in You and You would deliver them. Hear their cries, do a mighty work on their behalf.

Also, God, I hear that there is going to be rain in Burma which would hinder food getting to those in need. I pray as you did in the days of Elijah, that you would shut the rain so that the help can get through.

I ask these things, believing and trusting that you hear my hearts intercession, in the Name above all Names, Jesus Christ, Your Son and Deliverer. Amen.

Dear God, I join in praying for Your children who are suffering terrible losses and pain as a result of these disasters. It boggles the imagination that two such major tragedies should occur within days of each other. God, Your mercy and Your healing power MUST come through at this time. I ask that Your Holy Spirit transform these disaster areas into areas of renewal, relief, and rebirth. Amen.

Dear Lord,

There are many people still missing in result of the recent disasters: cyclone, tornados, and now China. I ask Lord, that you lead the right people to those who are still missing and trapped. Help them to hang in there Lord, and to call on you if they're able. I pray for all the families who have lost their homes, and loved ones. I pray for those of us who haven't experienced such disasters, to come in unity, and to love one another more, give more, and not to take life for granted. Life is too precious and too short, to not love one another. Lord I ask that we all learn from these disasters; to come together and to continue... to read your word and to reach out to those in need. I ask Lord, that we come together as a nation and continue to pray for all the victims and the hero's, as the search continues for those waiting to be rescued. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Oh heavenly father you are an awesome God and a merciful God. You love us, protect us and guide us. Please oh Lord be with your children in China and Burma. Stretch out your loving arms to them and lift them from the rubble. Watch over grieving family and friends, and comfort those that are trapped, hurt and in dispair. I ask this in Jesus' Christ my Lord and saviors name.
