Shameful past

Please pray that I can put the past behind me for good. I am constantly reminded for a shameful past that i have committed. Please remember me in your prayers. Pray that I can be strong in our Lord allmighty. May God bless you.

Dear Lord I stand in agreement with Michael. Lord touch his heart and let him know that you have forgiven him for all of his past mistakes. Lord point out to him all of the people in the bible with past like David in the book of kings that had a man killed to marry his wife and you forgave him and not only forgave him but blessed him. Lord help Michael forgive his/herself.

Our Heavenly and All Gracious Father!

We praise You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior, who bore our shame and sin on the cross. We are crucified and died with Him. In Him we are resurrected and with Him we live again to a very glorious life. We thank you for Your promises of mercy and compassion on us, which You daily fulfill with great faithfulness.

“For AS THE HEAVENS ARE HIGH above the earth, SO GREAT IS HIS MERCY TOWARD THOSE WHO FEAR HIM; AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST, SO FAR HAS HE REMOVED OUR TRANSGRESSIONS FROM US.” [Psalm 103:11-12]

“He will again HAVE COMPASSION ON US, And WILL SUBDUE OUR INIQUITIES. You will CAST ALL OUR SINS INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA.” [Micah 7:19]

If You have removed our transgressions so far from us, if You will subdue and submerge into the depths our sins, why shouldn’t and couldn’t we?

If You command us to forgive the sins of others against us, to be tenderhearted and merciful towards them, why shouldn’t and couldn’t forgive and be merciful ourselves? Forgive and utterly FORGET.

If memory of those sins still persist to shame us, perhaps it is because there is some restitution to be made, some pardon and reconciliation to be sincerely sought: or perhaps the shame remains to keep us humble, like the Apostle Paul’s persistent ‘thorn in the flesh’. Please Lord, let Your grace, Your amazing grace, be sufficient for us, sufficient and abounding.

“[Therefore,] IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW creation; THE OLD HAS GONE, the new has come!” [2 Corinthians 5:17] Thank You Father, for we are NEW creations – not merely improved versions of the old. We are completely NEW, without a past; only a present and future glory.

Thank You for Your Holy Spirit, Who is transforming us by renewing our minds. He will bring Michael Bright and all of us -- love, joy and peace, and also faithfulness, gentleness, goodness, kindness, patience and self-control. To the glory of God, our loving Father.

Dear God, I believe Your eyes to be always on who we are, not what we have or what we did in the past. You never fail to see us as Your divine children. You accept that all the actions that we regret came about because of our separation from You. Please return Michael to your heart, Lord. Wash his past clean so that he can know that it is as nothing to You. Amen.
